Mark Glennon, Managing Director

      Mark's is founder of WirePoints, an online news site.

      Mark has maintained an avocation in economic development and job creation throughout his career. He is the winner of the Fellows Medal awarded by the Illinois Venture Capital Association for outstanding contributions to the venture capital and private equity profession.

      Mark founded the Illinois Venture Capital Conference in 1997, which successfully matched dozens of young companies to venture capital sources. He also co-founded TecPromote, a political action committee promoting technology, entrepreneurship and capital formation. 

       Mark earlier practiced law with expertise in commercial finance, venture capital and distressed debt. Starting as an associate at Foley & Lardner, he was later a partner at Holleb & Coff in Chicago.


       He received his B.A. in Economics and Political Science at Northwestern University and his J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School where he won the Deinard Award for top law review contribution. He earlier served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Texas Law School in Austin.


       Mark lives in suburban Chicago with his wife, daughter and son.
